The Trust Advantage – Unlocking Leadership, Team, and Organizational Greatness

Every organization is built on trust—or struggles without it. The most successful leaders, teams, and organizations don’t just talk about trust—they intentionally build, protect, and leverage it as their greatest competitive advantage. Research proves that high-trust organizations outperform low-trust ones in revenue, productivity, retention, engagement, and innovation.

Dr. Cory Scheer doesn’t just speak about trust—he’s spent years researching, applying, and helping leaders around the world harness its power. Backed by his doctoral research, national studies, and international client work, Cory delivers a data-driven yet deeply human approach to building trust at every level of an organization. This keynote goes beyond inspiration—it provides real-world strategies to build, sustain, and restore trust in leadership, teams, and organizational culture. It also answers the question of how conflict, leadership transitions, and generational dynamics change trust-strengthening strategies. Using compelling case studies and proven frameworks, Cory transforms trust from an abstract concept into an immediate, measurable advantage that drives long-term success both within an organization and for your customers.

Key Takeaways:

** Why Trust Is Your Greatest Asset – Discover the research-backed link between trust, leadership effectiveness, and organizational success.

** The Structure of Trust® Framework – A simple, powerful model for understanding how trust is built, broken, and rebuilt.

** Proven Strategies for High-Trust Teams – Actionable techniques to enhance communication, increase transparency, and create a culture of trust that fuels results.

From Rapids to Results
The Power of Trust in High-Performing Teams

No one should navigate rough waters alone. In the face of crashing whitewater and unpredictable rapids, every team member plays a critical role. Trust isn’t just a virtue—it’s the difference between success and disaster.

Early in his career, Dr. Cory Scheer spent years leading and training high-performing river teams, and personally guiding thousands of people safely through extreme whitewater conditions across 8,000+ commercial river miles. Whether guiding through the Grand Canyon with his 14-year-old son or managing teams in high-stakes river rescue situations, one truth stood out: high-performing teams don’t happen by chance—they are built by trust, focus, and unbreakable shared commitments.

Today, Cory is a nationally sought-after speaker, researcher, author, and the founder of TrustCentric®, an organization dedicated to helping leaders and teams build trust-driven cultures that fuel performance and success. In this dynamic keynote, he takes you from the river to the workplace, revealing how the same principles that create life-saving teamwork on the water apply directly to leadership and business success. Through gripping stories, real-world insights, and actionable strategies, he shows leaders and teams how to thrive—even when navigating the unknown.

Key Takeaways:

** Why Trust Makes or Breaks a Team – The foundation of safety, integrity, and delivering exceptional results.

** Leading in Unpredictable Waters – How to make confident, trust-driven decisions when the stakes are high.

** No One Guides Alone – The power of clear roles, accountability, and unwavering support.

** Elevating the Experience – How top teams anticipate needs, adapt fast, and create lasting impact.

This isn’t just another leadership talk. It’s a dynamic, real-world lesson in how high-performing teams succeed—on the river and in business.

From Trauma to Triumph—The Trust-Fueled Path to Resilient Leadership

What if the hardest moment of your life became the foundation for your greatest impact?

Dr. Cory Scheer knows what it means to face the unthinkable. After a near-fatal cycling accident left him with 300 stitches, three fractures in his spine, and a long road to recovery, he refused to let tragedy define him. Instead, he turned adversity into action—setting an audacious goal to run 13 marathons in 12 months to raise money for people struggling for basic needs like clean water.

Since then, he has completed 30 marathons, including the Boston Marathon, proving that resilience, trust, and purpose can turn even the greatest setbacks into extraordinary comebacks. More than just a personal journey, his story sparked a movement—founding a team of runners in Kansas City for Team World Vision that has raised millions of dollars for clean water efforts in Sub-Saharan Africa. These efforts set the pace for his professional commitment of founding a company (TrustCentric®) deeply committed to helping strengthen workplace culture and trust.

But this isn’t just a story of endurance—it’s a roadmap for building trust, leading through challenges, and creating a culture where people rise stronger together.

Key Takeaways:

** Trust Fuels Resilience – Why people and teams push through adversity when trust is strong.

** Lead with Grit and Grace – How to stay steady, clear, and committed in tough times.

** Purpose Drives Performance – The power of knowing your truth and how to take action on it.

** Stronger Together – How trust and shared commitments create teams that thrive.
Cory’s story isn’t just about overcoming the odds—it’s about what’s possible when trust, leadership, and determination converge. Attendees will leave inspired, equipped, and ready to build a culture where setbacks become fuel for something greater.
