With a broadcasting career that began at age 14, JD Hayworth has traveled a path seldom taken.
From that first radio job in his native High Point, North Carolina…to work as a television sportscaster that began during his Senior Year at N.C. State, and included stops in North & South Carolina, Cincinnati, and Phoenix…Hayworth was selected as the Spring Training Radio Voice of the Chicago Cubs in 1990, and the first Radio Voice of the Arizona Fall League in 1992.
Two years later, JD took a “detour” from his career to answer a calling. He stepped out of his major market TV job as the Sports Anchor at Channel 10 in Phoenix to run for the U.S. House in what was then Arizona’s Sixth Congressional District.
During his dozen years on Capitol Hill, Hayworth made history as part of the first Republican House Majority in 40 years, and the first Arizonan ever named to the powerful Ways & Means Committee.
Returning to his broadcasting career, Hayworth made history again in 2016, becoming the first former Federal Office Holder to anchor Election Night Coverage on national television.
Now, back guest hosting talk radio shows from coast-to-coast, JD Hayworth remains a sought-after public speaker.
