Jeff Ross
Biography

Jeff Ross is one of the most versatile talents working in stand up and television comedy today. He has written for NBC's highly anticipated, "Watching Ellie" starring former Seinfeld star Julia Louis-Dreyfus and is developing his own live talk show for MTV - all while maintaining an active live stand-up schedule.

Jeffrey's show-stopping performances at the Friars Club Roasts inspired New York Magazine to good-naturedly crown him the "Meanest Man in Comedy." Jeffrey sits on the Board of the New York Friars Club and was instrumental in bringing their annual celebrity roast to Comedy Central - where he is one of the producers of what continues to be that network's highest rated broadcast year after year. Jeff Ross' dozens of TV appearances (usually featuring his trademark love poems) include Late Show with David Letterman, Tonight Show Starring Jay Leno, Late Late Show With Craig Kilborne, Late Night With Conan O'Brien, Politically Incorrect With Bill Maher, ABC's The View, Hollywood Squares, VH-1, MTV, and E! among others.

Jeff Ross has written (and ghost written) for many popular films and TV shows including the 2000 Academy Awards hosted by Billy Crystal, the 2001 MTV Video Music Awards hosted by Jamie Foxx (Head Writer), and The Man Show currently airing on Comedy Central. As an actor, Jeffrey stars in the award winning and popular short, Karaoke Knight, which airs regularly on Showtime and the Burly Bear College Network.

Jeffrey's other feature film credits include small parts in Celtic Pride, Brokers, Isn't She Great, Adventures of Rocky & Bullwinkle, and National Security (2002). He has appeared on HBO's Six Feet Under, CBS's Cosby, and co-starred in sitcom pilots for both ABC and NBC. Jeffrey has served as guest-host for the NBC late night talk show, Later, E's Talk Soup, and hosted the PBS special, Borscht Belt Confidential as well as the comedy/variety shows, Tompkins Square on Comedy Central and Late Friday on NBC.

Jeffrey's solo stand-up comedy specials were Lounge Lizards and Pulp Comics -- both produced by Comedy Central. In 1997 Jeff Ross was awarded the top stand-up honors from Backstage Magazine and from the Manhattan Association of Cabaret Artists. Jeffrey has performed at every major comedy festival and donates his talents to many causes every year including the annual Jerry Lewis Labor Day Telethon. Jeffrey currently has messy apartments in Greenwich Village, New York and Hollywood, California.

He graduated from Boston University with a degree in Broadcasting and Film. His lucky number is thirteen. Jeff Ross has hosted and performed for many appreciative corporate audiences including SONY, Donaldson, Lufkin & Jenrette, Glaxo Wellcome, Morgan Stanley Dean Witter, Forbes, and General Electric.

How do I book Jeff Ross for my event?

Booking Jeff Ross with Premiere Speakers Bureau is a streamlined 4-step process:
  • Availability Check: Contact us with your event date and budget to verify if your desired speaker is available.
  • Hold Date: We place a temporary "hold" on the speaker's calendar while you finalize internal approval.
  • Contracting: We issue a contract outlining the fee, cancellation policy, and event expectations.

Why should I partner with Premiere Speakers Bureau rather than contacting speakers directly?

Partnering with Premiere Speakers Bureau provides a comprehensive safety net for your event that direct booking cannot match. You get the same speaker for the same price, but with a dedicated team with over 30 years of event experience handling contracts, logistics, and are prepared for any emergency. We know what it takes to run an excellent event.

What makes Premiere Speakers Bureau unique compared to other agencies?

PSB has also built a streamlined, fully online process that makes booking a speaker, handling travel and payments extremely easy for anyone looking to plan a speaker led event.

How does Premiere Speakers Bureau's 'Zero Cost Service' model work?

Premiere Speakers Bureau operates on a 'Zero Cost Service' model for event planners. Our services—including research, booking, and logistics—are always free to the client. The speaker covers our commission from their standard honorarium as payment for our role in marketing and managing their engagements.

How are speaker fees structured, and what is typically included?

A speaker's fee typically covers the keynote presentation, a pre-event planning call, and standard customization. Travel expenses are usually billed separately.

What are the standard policies for speaker travel and expenses?

Travel expenses are negotiated during contracting. We generally recommend a flat travel fee for simplicity, though we also offer line-by-line invoicing when preferred. PSB ensures these expenses adhere to professional standards, and our Event Portal allows for easy tracking and invoicing.
