I have raised 9 children and am now a grandfather, remarried with an additional step-daughter. I have read Dr. Kimmell's Grace Based Parenting book and thoroughly enjoyed it and learned from it.

Someday our children will grow up to leave our homes and they’ll have to stand on their own. It’s our job as a parent to make sure that we’ve done all we can to prepare them for what lies ahead. God, the perfect parent, has actually left us with a plan to do this and do it well. It’s called Grace-Based Parenting – treating your children the way God treats his children. Grace-based parenting happens when we apply God’s love to four key areas of our children’s live. We meet their three driving inner needs, we offer them four essential freedoms, we build character into their hearts and we aim them at a future focused upwards and outwards. With passion and humor, award winning author, speaker, and founder of Family Matters, Dr. Tim Kimmel, also known as the “Guru of Grace” will show you how to raise kids who love God, live for Him and make an eternal impact in their world. Based on the Gold Medallion winning book, Grace Based Parenting.
They say that marriages are made in heaven. Unfortunately they have to be lived out here on earth. That’s why we might want to enlist God’s help when it comes to fulfilling our commitments and making the most of the love that convinces us to say “I do”. Not all marriages are hurting, but it’s hard to find one that isn’t hassled because very few couples come to the altar with a clue of what they’re up against. With passion and humor, award winning author, speaker, and founder of Family Matters, Dr. Tim Kimmel, will give you a definition of love that you can take to the bank, even when there’s no “like” in your “love”. With heartwarming wit and uncanny insight, Dr. Kimmel will share specific and intentional ways we can invest in our marriages in order to maintain a calm and confident love in the middle of our crazy lives and be deliberate about loving our spouse the way God loves His bride. Based on the newly released book, The Grace Based Marriage.
I first read Graced Based Parenting 10 years or so after being saved. I was a single parent with no clue. The book was a God-send. My daughter is 19 and loves Jesus, she knows Him.
I need to create a home full of grace of God's love, not a war zone. My son is my joy. Thank you Lord for entrusting your child into my care. Thank you "Family Matters" for being there for me when I needed you the most.
I'm going to admit to my kids how I've fallen short, ask for forgiveness and apply grace to my family and parenting more consistently
I came to see what I've done "wrong" w/ my kids. But I still have lots of room for improvement & I thoroughly enjoyed my day. I am a retired educator and plan to use my new-found wisdom w/ other parents at the school that I am now tutoring in.
Hopeful reminder at a time when I needed it--have a teenager who is doubting his faith & rejecting the environment in our home. This course will redirect me to focus more on his heart rather than his behavior. What great freedom to let my kid be himself!
Grace Based Parenting changed my heart years ago! It has influenced the way we raise our kids. Relationship is so important--both mine with Christ and with my children. I will try to parent them the way God parents me! This was a great parenting refresher!
I sacrificed my weekend to come here and am so glad I did. This conference makes me want to be a father who is more involved. . . . I will act and commit the values of the session in everyday living and use and abide by Grace.
I have been struggling tremendously with my teenage daughter and this conference has given me the tools to change and the hope I can actually do this.
We came here thinking it was a bit late for us. Our daughter is 19 and our son is 16. We found out that it's never too late. . . . I know that what we have learned here will be helpful for the rest of our journey. We're excited for our kids and for us!
This conference has done so much for me. Tim has given me so much more insight regarding raising my kids in a God filled, grace based home. It has really opened my eyes to realize that they are not my kids, they are God's!
