Biography

Mike Emanuel has covered many of the top news events over the past thirty years across the country and around the globe. A month after starting at Fox News, Mike was in London reporting live on the death of Princess Diana. It was thought that might be the biggest story of his career, but that was just the start.

Mike landed exclusive interviews with George W. Bush when he was re-elected Texas Governor in November 1998. He covered the 2000 Presidential campaign, and spent six weeks in Austin, Texas waiting for the Bush-Gore race to be settled.

On September 11th, 2001, Mike provided hourly updates from Washington on what was happening in our nation’s capital. Later that day, he provided coverage from the Pentagon attack site.

Mike was sent to Islamabad Pakistan to cover the buildup to War in Afghanistan. In early 2002, Mike spent several months covering the war from Kabul, Afghanistan.

Mike was embedded with 10th Mountain Division soldiers in Baghdad, Iraq as American soldiers were protecting the Iraqi elections, so citizens would feel comfortable going out to vote.

Mike Emanuel has served as National Security Correspondent, White House Correspondent, Chief Congressional Correspondent, and currently serves as Chief Washington Correspondent at Fox News. Mike traveled the world on Air Force One with Presidents George W. Bush and Barack Obama. He currently anchors FOX NEWS LIVE on Sunday afternoons and serves as a fill-in anchor on the network’s top news programs.
