For the next stop on Premiere's "Fall Roadshow" blog series, we're highlighting the top speakers in and around San Diego, along with favorite stories, restaurants, and things to do from our Premiere team.
"San Diego is notable for its gorgeous beaches, breathtaking scenery, and blissful weather, but my family was the main reason I grew up visiting this gem. I remember one special day taking the Pacific Surfliner with my cousins, riding along the beach. I took in all the scenic views, just stunned by what was in front of me. Growing up in Tennessee you don’t see that every day.
We had our bikes with us and were venturing into the city center of San Diego to explore. We rode past Comic Con, the USS Midway Museum, and the San Diego Police Department where my cousin worked. We made a pit stop at Azuki Sushi, one of the best spots in town. Later we went to my great-grandmother’s house. She greeted my parents with Miller Lite and the rest of us with a smile. She had avocado and orange trees in her backyard, and we picked them to make guacamole and fresh orange juice. Those are some of my fondest memories of her.
She was turning 100 that week. We celebrated her big day at my cousin’s house up in themountains. She wore a pink crown and had a pink outfit and pink cake. She was goals! She is no longer with us, but San Diego is a constant reminder of her and all that is good and simple in life– nourishing food, fresh air, and family." - Katie Reuter, Premiere Agent
Favorite San Diego memories from Don Jenkins, VP, agent, and 25-year industry veteran, and Marine. "I love touring the USS Midway in San Diego. It has the same smells as the ship I was on (USS Okinawa) during Desert Shield/Desert Storm. It really brings back memories."
(Yes, I once had abs and hair.)
San Diego memories from Lisa Parker, who splits time between PSB's accounting and content management teams. "I was married to Terry in San Diego 25 years ago! My favorite spot was listening to the ocean waves in LaJolla."
