Peter Katz
Biography

Over more than a decade, Peter wrote hundreds of songs, shared stages and studios with Grammy Award-winning artists and producers, and performed more than 150 concerts a year around the world — seeing firsthand how music and story can cut through noise, forge connection, and make people feel part of something bigger.

Eventually, executives and event planners began asking him to bring that same magic to their organizations — not just to inspire people for a moment, but to help build cultures that last.

Through that work, Peter discovered a powerful pattern:

The most vibrant, connected teams weren’t chasing culture — they were celebrating it.

They knew what mattered most — to their people, their mission, their customers, and their communities — and they made it visible. They named it. Elevated it. Repeated it until it became part of who they were.

“We become what we celebrate.”

That insight became Peter’s calling.

Today, Peter is a trusted partner to Fortune 500 companies like Coca-Cola, Johnson & Johnson, Cisco, and American Express; leading healthcare systems like Johns Hopkins Medicine and SickKids Hospital; major associations like PCMA and APEX; and all levels of government, including the House of Commons of Canada.

They turn to Peter to help them clarify what matters most, recognize it in everyday actions, and celebrate it in ways that fuel connection and performance.

Peter’s work has been recognized with JUNO Award and Canadian Screen Award nominations, tens of millions of views and streams of his music and videos, and features on national television and radio.

But what matters most to him isn’t the accolades — it’s the impact:

Watching leaders realize they already have what they need to transform their culture

Seeing teams light up when they feel truly seen for what they contribute

Hearing, “We’ve got to celebrate what matters,” echo through the room as people leave ready to lead differently

At the heart of everything Peter does is a simple belief:

When people feel seen, connected, and celebrated for what matters most, they don’t just stay — they show up fully.

Start celebrating what matters with Peter Katz.

“Peter, his presentation, and his commitment to our audience remains one of my career highlights.”  Michele Zarella - Advisor Enrichment Manager, Commonwealth Financial Services

Celebrate What Matters™
Bring hidden moments to light — and watch them multiply into momentum

Too often, the most inspiring moments inside organizations go unnoticed — the ones where your people truly live your mission, deliver on your values, and make a real impact. When these stories are surfaced and celebrated, something powerful happens: they spark more of the very actions and attitudes you want to see.

This keynote introduces the Celebrate What Matters™ framework — a proven approach to uncovering those moments, amplifying their impact, and sparking more of them. Through live music, storytelling, and actionable tools, Peter helps audiences reveal the “recipe” behind their successes and put it into practice immediately. The result: a ripple effect of connection, inspiration, and performance that proves, time and again, we become what we celebrate.

Key Benefits:

Bring Purpose to Life:  Know exactly how to surface the moments where your vision, values, and purpose come alive

Internalize Stories That Fuel Action:  Turn your hidden stories into fuel for daily action and ongoing inspiration

Celebrating Your Impact
Wholehearted Service

Honouring and elevating those who serve — in healthcare, education, public service, long-term care, and other mission-driven fields.

The work of caring, teaching, and serving the public is deeply meaningful — and deeply demanding.

For those in healthcare, education, public service, long-term care, and other mission-driven professions, the daily pressures of high stakes, limited resources, and constant change can make it hard to pause and recognize the difference you’re making.

Too often, extraordinary impact goes unseen — even by those creating it. And when it’s invisible, it can slowly drain your energy, your connection, and even your sense of purpose.

This keynote is an invitation to see your work — and yourself — through new eyes. Through powerful music, real stories from attendees, and practical strategies, Peter helps mission-driven professionals reconnect to the meaning behind what they do, honor the profound impact they already create, and leave them resourced and re-energized to keep showing up wholeheartedly.

Key Benefits:
Energy to Keep Going: Find renewed motivation and pride in the work you do and the people you serve.

Recognition That Resonates: Learn how meaningful celebration — of yourself and others — fuels morale and belonging.

A Lasting Shift in Perspective: Strengthen alignment and connection across teams, members and leadership

A Big Dose of Joy!: Experience Peter’s signature Joysnacks™ — small, uplifting moments that spark delight even on the hard days.

Why I Celebrate Discomfort
Courage and Growth for Students and Youth Audiences

What stepping into discomfort taught me — and how students can find growth and courage in theirs.

Students today face immense pressure — academic demands, social comparison, and an uncertain future. Fear of failure and discomfort often hold them back from pursuing opportunities that could shape their growth and resilience.

In Why I Celebrate Discomfort, Peter shares his journey from nervous open-mic performer to award-winning touring musician, showing students that discomfort is not a sign to retreat but an invitation to grow. Through engaging music, personal storytelling, and actionable takeaways, he empowers youth audiences to step into challenges, embrace courage, and unlock their hidden potential.

This was Peter’s very first keynote concert and remains a highly-rated choice at leadership conferences and retreats.

Key Benefits:

Bring Purpose to Life:  Reframe discomfort as a gateway to discovery and resilience

Foster Courage: Build courage to face uncertainty and take bold steps toward growth

Celebrate Vulnerability in Leadership: Connect vulnerability to authentic leadership and self-confidence

See Challenges as Invitations: Leave inspired and equipped to embrace challenges in academics and life
