Biography

Mimi Bliss focuses on the core leadership skill of public speaking. Our ability to speak on video is critical in the current environment, where everything from industry conferences to employee town halls and client meetings are virtual. Mimi works with leaders and teams to master business presentations, media interviews, virtual meetings/conferences and recorded videos. She has led her 60-minute interactive virtual workshop on virtual presentation skills for a wide range of audiences, including sales teams, fundraising professionals, bankers, accountants, attorneys and consultants. As a former TV reporter, Mimi moderates and emcees virtual events that are engaging and meaningful. A hallmark of Mimi's programs is her ability to make audiences feel comfortable with public speaking and virtual presentations. Her interactive sessions are customized to fit the needs of each audience, from senior corporate leaders and high-potential managers to professionals who are early in their careers. As owner of Bliss Communications for more than 15 years, Mimi works with clients such as Nissan North America, HCA and Sephora, as well as numerous organizations in healthcare, manufacturing, economic development, utilities, government and nonprofit. Mimi was an on-camera reporter for ABC and NBC television affiliates in the Southeast and a freelance field producer for the Today Show and NBC Nightly News. In other previous positions, she served as corporate spokesperson for a major restaurant company and managed media relations for a hospital system. Mimi earned a degree in public policy from Duke University. She lives in Nashville, Tenn.
