Dr. Jim Van Allan is an accomplished speaker and trainer with clients across the country. He specializes in using a unique blend of audience-engagement and high-energy to make workshops and keynote speeches come alive.
Jim is the Vice President of Schools with The Jon Gordon Companies and has been presenting curriculum and material on behalf of Jon Gordon for over 16 years. He has conducted presentations on all of Jon’s books. Jim conducts nearly 50 presentations a year for educators around the country.
As the VP of Schools, Jim manages the Energy Bus for Schools Program. This provides resources and tools for schools to use throughout the school year. It is a transformative program with over 100 schools nationwide. Jim and Jon Gordon have a new book coming out this Fall called 'The Energy Bus for Schools: 7 Ways to Improve Your School Culture'.
He is a Professor of Communication Studies with Keiser University where he teaches Public Speaking and Interpersonal Communication courses. Additionally, he holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations from the University of Florida and a Master’s degree in Communication Studies from Florida Atlantic University.
Jim also has his Ph.D. in Education Leadership where he analyzed the impact of professional development training based on the best-selling book ‘The Energy Bus’. The research focused on how schools and organizations can sustain a positive culture. He resides in Palm City, Florida, with his wife, Stephanie, and two boys, Brady and Brenden.
Keynotes will center around the main qualities needed to create a positive organization culture. We will focus on cultivating relationships, vision and belief, managing negativity, and enjoying the process.
The team is the STAR, and we will explore the main strategies to create a positive and unified team. This includes an engaged and intentional leader who inspires team members to think more positive, work together, and develop collective belief.
This centers around the language of leadership, which is positive communication. This will center around the value of nonverbal communication, selective attention, chronemics (the value of time), body language, and their collective impact on culture, leadership, and teamwork.
