Global Digital Collaboration in Education

The technology is the answer to the challenges in today’s education world. But we can’t engage educators in changing outcomes of how kids learn, unless educators have an understanding on how to use technology strategically integrating it to the curriculum to do so. I envision a world where educators are empowered to help kids to develop the necessary skills through strategic use of technology, breaking old-fashioned pedagogical barriers, building bridges between teaching and tech focused on increased engagement of students in the classroom with an interactive and immersive learning environment. The exchange of best global pedagogical practices related to the effective application of most innovative educational technology is essential to drive change and embrace 21st-century learning. A close collaboration of global educators helps to sustain ongoing development and innovation of the modern education system, thus ensure that today’s students are prepared to fit the demands of a future job market.
Digital Learning Movement focused on bringing together most innovative global educators and initiating the exchange of best global EdTech experiences and practices.

Diversity in learning STEM concepts through Augmented Reality (AR)

In the era of rapid digital advancement, schools today are struggling to maintain the relevance of their classes due to rapid changes in the job market. How can analog age teaching style prepare kids for the future workforce? The way we teach today is not relevant for their tomorrow.

Schools are obliged to innovate to sustain their development by building a strong ICT infrastructure to accommodate 21st-century learning demands for K-12 students focusing on STEM concepts. However, it is not enough to simply add technology to existing teaching methods. Technology must be used strategically to benefit students with quality digital content with strong academic relevance to provide effective learning.

STEM Education has become a major topic of discussion and planning in the recent years with a large number of schools integrating it into the curriculum. However, many K-12 educators find the term STEM confusing and are unsure on how to deliver effective STEM education due to the lack of quality content and resources.

According to the world economic forum, the top two skills that will be required within the next 5 years–creativity and critical thinking. The current generation is lacking development of such skills as they become dependent on the technology like YouTube or Google instead of using it to discover, create and excel in learning.

Now, which technology can make a difference that are plug and play and easy onboarding, embarrassment-free for teachers to use in the classroom and fun, engaging for kids to learn STEM concepts helping them to develop necessary for the 21st-century skills that empower their creativity and learning?

A presentation is based on the feedback from over 753 educators worldwide, about innovative technology in education and outside of the classroom, its influence on the future of the kids with the focus on Augmented Reality (AR). The information on the importance of the use of emerging technologies as one the main steps to move education from analog age and catch up with industry revolution 4.0. This presentation gives a general overview on how AR can be beneficial for both educators as a tool and kids as an educational aid that involves all the senses: audio, visual and kinetic.

The technology that brings boring schools subjects “to life” through visualizing content
in 3D supports students’ individual learning styles and helps kids to improve test - score by up to 33% and increase information retention rate by up to 100%.
