I was not in favor of hiring a "big name" (big money) speaker for our event. However, Dave Dravecky was worth every penny! I would have him again. We could not be more pleased. He was better than Bill Bennett and John Wooden combined! Thank you.

The Dave Dravecky Story
In his seventh year in Major League Baseball while pitching for the San Francisco Giants, a cancerous desmoid tumor was discovered in Dave’s pitching arm. The next years were a whirlwind of surgery, radiation, pain and depression, all in the glaring light of the media. Eventually, Dave’s arm was amputated to stop the spread of the cancer and save his life. Through it all, Dave and Jan Dravecky’s faith in God and the love He gave them through others provided the anchor they needed in the midst of their storm. “When God wants to do an impossible thing He takes an impossible man and crushes him.” Dave tells the captivating story of how God guided him to do impossible things.
Talk about understanding where students are today and their struggle with identity and self-worth. Dave spoke from the heart--to their hearts--and changed some of them, forever.
Dave scored an amazing evaluation rating of 4.83/5, the highest score we have ever had for an after dinner speaker in our conference history. It is also the first time the entire audience erupted as one in a standing ovation at the closing of his talk.
