Freddie Scott is tackling this issue with "The Dad I Wish I Had." My hope is that this book inspires you to think about ways we can get our dads back to their rightful place in this country--involved and active in their children's lives.
Freddie's presence is calm, safe, magnetic, and inspiring. He thrives on the connection he creates with his clients and shares profound, yet simple insights to help them grow. "I love to build people and help them move more confidently in their leadership." Freddie has a knack for helping people identify their gifts and connecting these gifts to their purpose." Freddie speaks and teaches on such topics as leadership, healthy relationships, character development, personal growth, and parenting lessons he has picked up along his life's journey. He started his journey in high-performance at a young age as the state of Michigan's top high school wide receiver. His ascent continued through college as he was a starting wide receiver for the 1994 undefeated Penn State team where he was featured on the cover of Sports Illustrated. The next stage in his professional growth was spent in the National Football League (NFU with the Atlanta Falcon, Indianapolis Colts, and Detroit Lions. He has a Master's in Organizational Leadership and is a certified Transition Coach for the NFL Player Engagement Program. He also serves as a family expert for the NFL Players Association, conducting workshops across the country helping players transition from playing football professionally to becoming better leaders, husbands, and fathers. Over his career, he has spoken to over 70 D1 football teams and many NFL clubs. In addition to his leadership work, he is also the author of the book The Dad I Wish I Had, which has received national attention on CNN, HLN, Fox News, TBN, and Family Life. The NFL Players Association acknowledged his work by awarding Freddie the 2013 Kenny Washington Award, and the Parent-Teacher Association of Tennessee also awarded him a Lifetime Achievement Award in 2010. Freddie balances all these responsibilities alongside a busy life with his family, including his beautiful wife, four very active sons, and one adorable daughter. If you're interested in connecting the dots between your passions, morals, and strengths, Freddie is your guy.
In a world where the stresses and coping with sudden transition are pulling families apart, how do you keep yourself and your family together? Everyone will have to cope with the trauma of sudden change. Freddie explains the need and the opportunity for families and people to reinvent themselves and have more effective communication, reduce conflict, establish goals, and understand their total wellness.
It Starts with You is about re-wiring people from a worker mindset to think like a CEO: fast, creative, and innovatively. The future of our society is dependent on people being proactive in leading their families, and not reactive based on the hand that was dealt. Freddie believes that the future of our nation will be fuelled by men and women who embrace their roles as the leaders in their homes. Freddie will help you transform the way you view your family, and seize your opportunity to make an impact.
Technology is disrupting everything. Freddie will explore three technologies that impact how we communicate and consume information. This session will get you thinking about how technology can become an enabler to solve problems at home and innovate. Freddie will use cutting edge examples to illustrate how technology is changing the future and people relationships to their families, and what your family should be thinking about now to get ahead of these shifts.
In this fast paced world reputation has quickly become a persons’ most valuable asset, and is now more important than their FICO Score. In this presentation Freddie talks about reputation (online and offline), managing expectations, and increasing the reach of your influence by building credibility. This discussion is relevant to everyone regardless of where you are in life.
