BIOGRAPHY
Fresh off a tour schedule of over 275 shows in 2013, award-winning standup comedian John Crist started 2014 with his first television appearance on Live at Gotham. Crist’s edgy, yet clean comedy comes highly touted as a Denver finalist of the 2013 Comedy Central’s Up Next Comedy Competition and winner of the 2012 Denver Improv’s Got Laughs Competition. In addition to several recent appearances on the Bob and Tom Show, Crist had the recent honor of performing on a USO Comedy Tour for the Troops in Kuwait. Crist is also a contributing writer for the popular blog Stuff Christians Like, has hosted events for The Dave Ramsey Team and was once a voice on the popular children’s radio show Adventures in Odyssey. Crist tours frequently with Christian comedian and internet sensation Tim Hawkins.
Crist always gets asked how he finds the inspiration to write jokes.“ Shoot, I grew up in the south.” Crist says. “My dad is a pastor and I was the third of eight homeschooled children. Coming from a background like that, how do you NOT write jokes?!”
