Winemaker Sam Baxter grew up in the grapevines trailing his father Phil, who made a legendary mark in the late 60s when the Napa Valley  first gained notoriety as a respected wine growing region. After attending UC Davis and obtaining a B.S. from the Department of Viticulture and Enology, Sam traveled for a vintage in Australia prior to returning to the Napa Valley to start crafting wines of his own. In 2001, Sam began working with the Levine family making the Cobblestone Vineyards Cabernet Sauvignon and Chardonnay.
