Sally Ogden is an energetic and charismatic teacher and speaker with 33 years of experience, having taught French, Spanish and Psychology in the public schools. She spent most of her tenure at Chatfield Senior High School in Jefferson County, Colorado and previously taught 13 years in middle school. She also directs workshops and conferences for teachers and parents throughout the United States. People who have heard her say that a day with her flies by with lots of laughs and great stories. They leave with practical tools that they can't wait to use.
Sally is a graduate of CSU, with a Masters in Curriculum and Instruction from the University of Northern Colorado. In 1977, Sally was selected as the Colorado Teacher of the Year, and received an Honor Alum Award from Colorado State University. In 1998 she filmed the video, "No Thanks, I Just Had a Banana!" and followed with the book Words Will NEVER Hurt Me, Helping Kids Handle Teasing, Bullying and Putdowns. She has been an adjunct instructor for CSU, Adams State College, and Chapman University.
Ogden is trilingual, loves sports, art, photography, flower gardening, and ballroom dancing. Sally is proud to say that her high school seniors honored her with the "Favorite-Female Teacher" title every year!
