Leading Yourself and Others Through Change

Managing constant change is a reality for all organizations and individuals. Change used to be an event, and now it is business as usual. ‘Reinvention,’ ‘transformation,’ and ‘disruption’ are popular terms to describe how private and public organizations are evolving to accommodate changing operating environments, stakeholder expectations and regulatory requirements.
Expectations of leaders and their teams have evolved, too; they must deliver their current goals while transitioning to new ways of thinking and working to achieve their organization’s mandates and strategic objectives. The ability to champion ongoing and multiple changes and deliver day-to-day responsibilities is a must-have success capability.
Participants will:
Learn a common framework for leaders to understand the key elements of highly effective change management
Discuss key enablers of successful change initiatives and key questions to answer that lead to capturing the benefits
Understand the causes of change resistance, how to manage them and proactively mitigate associated risks

Change on the Run
Leading Through Workplace Uncertainty

Changes in the workplace have never been at a higher rate or faster pace than they are right now. Most leaders and their teams grapple with multiple change initiatives, from restructuring to digital transformations to new team dynamics. There is little time to plan for, let alone implement change, which is often overwhelming and can lead to burnout.
Being successful in change is not about being perfect; it’s about being fast and effective so you can move on to the next task or issue—the speed of execution matters. The 80/20 rule provides an effective and agile approach to managing change-related tasks and challenges. Focusing your energy and resources on the one action that will give you 80 percent of the results you want with 20 percent of the time and effort is the best strategy when faced with multiple accountabilities and limited time, one that can help anyone be their best when faced with workplace change.
Participants will:
Build awareness of how the 80/20 rule enables effective change management
Apply the 80/20 approach to common change tasks and challenges
Identify areas where the 80/20 approach would benefit their roles

Co-creating Culture
Enabling Employee-directed Performance

Many studies and surveys indicate a strong link between organizational culture and performance; aligning how people think, act, and behave increases the effectiveness and efficiency of their efforts.
Data further suggests that employee involvement in defining an organization’s culture optimizes the personal meaning, engagement, and effectiveness necessary to deliver high performance; employees are the best architects of the conditions required for their success. Co-created cultures require leaders to provide the freedom to co-design culture while aligning with structured strategic imperatives and outcomes.
Participants will:
Gain insights into why people perform better in cultures they help create
Raise awareness of organizations that co-create their cultures and the different mechanisms used to garner employee input and feedback
Identify engagement approaches that are relevant, practical, and applicable in their organizations

Building a Collaborative Hybrid Team

Leaders and their teams have grown through the challenges and opportunities they faced over the last few years. From transitioning to remote work to supporting people through adversity, everyone has learned new ways of thinking and behaving to be their best during personal and workplace change.
The benefits and challenges of hybrid environments are emerging from the latest research. These insights, experiments and lessons can guide leaders and managers on how to engage and enable their teams through collaborative ways of working that are aligned with group preferences, needs and goals.
Participants will:
Understand how hybrid work environments impact a manager’s role
Identify ways to build a collaborative hybrid team with member input
Learn a simple and effective approach for co-creating hybrid ways of working with your team
