Best-selling author and former executive director of the George Lucas Education Foundation, Milton Chen has been awarded the President’s Prize at the NHK Japan Award Ceremony! This honor is the most prestigious international award for education and societal media and Milton is beyond well-deserving of the recognition. He has been on the front-lines of education research, development, in and out of the classroom, for a span of forty years. Milton attended Harvard University, gained an A.B. in social studies and went on to conduct research for the development of Sesame Street as his first post-graduate employment.
From 1998 to 2010, Milton spearheaded the George Lucas Educational Foundation as executive director and helped transform Edutopia into the source of inspiration for educators on the power of an innovative approach to teaching and learning. Edutopia.org was named ‘best education website’ by Webby People’s Voice Award and receives an average of one million unique visitors every month! We are very proud to stand behind Dr. Milton Chen as we partner with him to spark innovation in other educators globally.
