Huckabee Tops CNN Poll of 2012 GOPs

Gov. Mike Huckabee topped a CNN-Opinion Research poll of possible Republican candidates in the 2012 Presidential election. The poll was conducted among Republicans and conservative-leaning independents. Thirty-four percent said that they are likely to vote for Huckabee in 2012. Alaska governor Sarah Palin came in second with 32 percent.

Huckabee entered the national political scene last year during his campaign for the GOP Presidential nomination. Despite a severe financial disadvantage, Huckabee did surprisingly well and won seven state contests including the Iowa Caucus. He has not ruled out a 2012 run, but he is currently focusing on a number of media ventures including the Fox News TV show Huckabee, the upcoming ABC Radio show The Huckabee Report and the recently released best-selling book Do The Right Thing.

Additionally, he speaks regularly at political, health care and faith events discussing everything from the fair tax or how he lost 110 lbs. in 2003. For information about booking Gov. Huckabee for a speaking event, go to www.premierespeakers.com/mike_huckabee.
