Josh Hammer is Newsweek's senior-editor-at-large, a syndicated columnist, and the author of Israel and Civilization: The Fate of the Jewish Nation and the Destiny of the West (Radius Book Group, 2025). He also hosts The Josh Hammer Show, a podcast and syndicated radio show. A frequent commentator on political, legal, and cultural issues, Josh is a constitutional attorney by training and additionally serves as senior counsel for the Article III Project. He is also a fellow with the Edmund Burke Foundation and the Palm Beach Freedom Institute.

Josh graduated from Duke University, where he majored in economics, and from the University of Chicago Law School. He lives in Florida with his wife and daughter, and he also remains an active member of the State Bar of Texas.
