Dr. Joanna Dolgoff

Joanna Dolgoff, M.D., is a Physician, Child and Family Obesity Specialist, creator of the family weight loss program, Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right, Spokesperson for the American Academy of Pediatrics, Winner of Parent Magazine's "Seven Pediatricians Making a Difference, 2013", the Official Family Obesity Specialist for NBC's THE BIGGEST LOSER, Medical Director of Camp Shane, the nation's longest-running weight loss camp, Vice-President of Shane Cares non- profit organization, Spokesperson for Dannon Yogurt, and author of Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right (Rodale).

A retrospective study of 600 patients following Red Light, Green Light, Eat Right for 16 weeks showed a 7.4% decrease in BMI and won the Best Abstract Award at the 2012 AAPNational NCE Conference(COCITsection).

Dr. Dolgoff grew up in Roslyn, New York and attended Princeton University where she graduated cum laude with a degree in Molecular Biology and was elected to the Sigma Chi International Research Honor Society. Dr. Dolgoff continued her education at the NYU School of Medicine, earning the award for Outstanding Student in Pediatrics and serving as president of the NYU Chapter of the Alpha Omega Alpha National Medical Honor Society. Dr. Dolgoff completed her Pediatric Residency training at Columbia Presbyterian's Children's Hospital of New York. She previously worked as a private practice pediatrician and is a Board Certified Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatrics.
