Biography

Comedian Dave Attell is the host and writer of COMEDY CENTRAL's "Insomniac with Dave Attell." The hit series began in August 2001 and is a travelogue of after-hours experiences in cities across the country. The New York Times says, "'Insomniac' is a doubly rare beast, a comedy without rancor and a travel show about the virtues of the American underdog."

Currently, Attell and Lewis Black ("The Daily Show with Jon Stewart") have teamed up for a fifty city national tour titled, COMEDY CENTRAL LIVE. The tour will conclude in Las Vegas this month and has sold out almost every show grossing over $4.5 million. COMEDY CENTRAL and Clear Channel Entertainment presented the tour.

COMEDY CENTRAL Home Video just released the "The Best of 'Insomniac with Dave Attell' Uncensored: Volume 2" DVD. "The Best of 'Insomniac with Dave Attell' Uncensored: Volume 1" DVD was released along with Attell's first stand-up comedy CD, "Skanks For The Memories" from COMEDY CENTRAL Records early last year.

Born in Queens and raised in Rockville Centre, Long Island, Attell is highly respected in the industry, the media, as well as his audiences. A stand-up comic for the past 16 years, he has risen to the top of his craft.

Dave Attell has made numerous appearances on the "Late Show with David Letterman," "Late Night with Conan O'Brien," "Last Call with Carson Daly," "The Daily Show with Jon Stewart" and "The Howard Stern Show." He has also appeared in the Chris Rock film "Pootie Tang" and in the upcoming movie "Max & Grace" starring Natasha Lyonne, David Krumholtz and Lorraine Bracco. Other television credits include NBC's "Ed," Drew Carey's "Mr. Vegas All-Star Party" on HBO, COMEDY CENTRAL's "Tough Crowd with Colin Quinn," his own half-hour stand-up special "Comedy Central Presents" and "Pulp Comics."

In March of 1995, Attell was featured on HBO's "Young Comedian's Special" live from the U.S. Comedy Arts Festival in Aspen. He then went on to tape his own half-hour special for HBO in the spring of 1996.

Dave Attell resides in Manhattan and when he's not on the road doing a gig, he performs at New York City's famed Comedy Cellar on a regular basis.

  • Contracting: We issue a contract outlining the fee, cancellation policy, and event expectations.

Why should I partner with Premiere Speakers Bureau rather than contacting speakers directly?

How does Premiere Speakers Bureau's 'Zero Cost Service' model work?

Premiere Speakers Bureau operates on a 'Zero Cost Service' model for event planners. Our services—including research, booking, and logistics—are always free to the client. The speaker covers our commission from their standard honorarium as payment for our role in marketing and managing their engagements.

How are speaker fees structured, and what is typically included?

A speaker's fee typically covers the keynote presentation, a pre-event planning call, and standard customization. Travel expenses are usually billed separately.

What are the standard policies for speaker travel and expenses?

Travel expenses are negotiated during contracting. We generally recommend a flat travel fee for simplicity, though we also offer line-by-line invoicing when preferred. PSB ensures these expenses adhere to professional standards, and our Event Portal allows for easy tracking and invoicing.
