Bob Litwin has coached over 2000 individuals over the last 35 years. The goal with each of these people is to raise performance to extraordinary levels. Few people have the credibility of Bob Litwin. In 2005 he achieved the #1 ranking in the world in the 55-and-over category. He is a twelve-time USTA National Champion. He is a high performance Mental Training coach/consultant based in Glenwood Landing, New York and an executive coach for Prentice Capital, a hedge fund in New York City.
Litwin began playing tennis tournaments seriously only at age 34. His early frustrations in competition led him to develop The Focused Game Method, a system to get and stay focused. He could often win at all levels in practice, when it didn't count, yet when it mattered, he lost to players that he perceived were not as good as him. He became convinced that the solution lay in improving his ability to concentrate under pressure.
Articulating explicit goals is central to The Focused Game Method. "I write out what my plans for the year are: what my external goals are, what parts of my game I need to strengthen, and I write down particular ideas I need to be committed to as a player," he told Tennis Week magazine after winning the World Championships. "For instance, at the start of this year, I wrote: 'I'm going to make myself a difficult opponent to win a point against.' I reminded myself a lot about that promise as I practiced. I don't think about winning or losing in practice; I think about being a difficult opponent to win a point against. And if you can focus on that goal and make it a reality, then the success will come."
Bob Litwin believes his methods apply in business and other endeavors, as well as in sports. He will share with your group how he raised his game to the next level and how you can do the same with whatever game at which you are looking to excel.
