As a child in a single mom family with four kids, we went through some tough times and we made it through on donated food sometimes, so I appreciate what other families go through. Through a local Nashville area nonprofit, a portion of every booking you make will go to help purchase meals for families in need.
What’s up with the Nilla Wafers in the photo below? We always appreciated the food we were given, but sometimes I’d get a bit jealous of the name brand food and snacks my neighbors had, specifically Nilla Wafers. My good friend Regina Harvey, who runs the program, heard my childhood story, and made sure that even though the dollars are spent wisely to serve the most people possible, she makes sure families do get some brand name ‘Nilla Wafers sometimes.

I had the amazing opportunity to be able to go to Kenya in 2015 and get to know the leaders of a farming village. The local leaders decided that the greatest need for their community was education, and we decided to come alongside to help. I helped teach a class one day, and realized how difficult it was to teach. My piece of chalk broke 5 times in one lesson writing on the makeshift chalkboard! Two years later, the community was able to complete the construction of the first new classroom with a real chalkboards and actual walls to keep the students warm. (You can see a video of the new classroom here.) We’re helping to build a second to serve more students.

In addition to helping your organization, your booking also goes to help these two great projects. Thank you so much!
