Peter Greer Bio
Peter Greer is President and CEO of HOPE International, an organization focused on eradicating poverty through Christ-centered entrepreneurship throughout Africa, Asia, Latin America, and Eastern Europe.
Prior to joining HOPE, Peter worked internationally as a microfinance advisor in Cambodia, technical advisor in Zimbabwe, and managing director of Urwego Bank in Rwanda. He received a B.S. in international business from Messiah College and an MPP from Harvard's Kennedy School.
Peter has coauthored over ten books, including Mission Drift which was recognized as the Book Award winner for Church/Pastoral Leadership by Christianity Today and Book of the Year finalist in the Non-Fiction category by the Evangelical Christian Publishers Association. Other books that Peter has coauthored include The Poor Will Be Glad, The Spiritual Danger of Doing Good, Entrepreneurship for Human Flourishing, Watching Seeds Grow (written with his son Keith), Mommy's Heart Went Pop!, 40/40 Vision, The Giver and the Gift, Created to Flourish, The Board and the CEO, and Rooting for Rivals.
Peter serves as the entrepreneur-in-residence at Messiah College and as a Praxis Venture Partner.
Peter loves being husband to Laurel and dad to their three children, Keith, Lilianna, and Myles. They live in Lancaster, PA.
