Michael Margolis
Biography

Michael Margolis is a VC Operating Partner and Narrative Architect. He works with founders, CEOs, and investors to increase velocity and reduce friction as they scale.
AI has made language operational. The way leaders frame strategy now shapes how teams prioritize, how capital is deployed, how products evolve, and how markets respond. Narrative is no longer presentation polish. It is a structural force inside scaling organizations. Michael helps leadership teams build shared meaning before demanding performance. When interpretation aligns, execution accelerates. When it fragments, friction follows.

As CEO of Storied, a narrative infrastructure firm, Michael has spent more than two decades helping companies turn storytelling into a strategic capability. Since 2002, he has worked with more than 350 organizations across 18 countries. His work has powered billion-dollar initiatives, influenced over $13B in capital investments, driven adoption across 100M+ users, and shaped category-defining narratives for Meta, Google, Amazon, Salesforce, Genentech, Uber, Atlassian, Microsoft, Visa, Moody’s, Fidelity, NASA, Milken Institute, and Accel-KKR.
He also serves as Operating Partner, Narrative at Veridical Ventures, an early-stage VC fund where he works alongside B2B founders from due diligence through go-to-market. His focus is simple: increase velocity and reduce execution drag before it suppresses growth multiples.
A former advisor to 14 product and organizational divisions at Meta, Michael operates at the intersection of strategy, product, and enterprise transformation. Trained as a cultural anthropologist, he has long studied how language systems shape collective behavior, well before AI turned language into leverage. Michael is the author of the bestselling book Story 10x: From Impossible to Inevitable. His thesis: when you fix the story, you fix the system.

Across more than 500 keynotes and executive sessions worldwide, Michael is known for making complex futures understandable and actionable. Organizations bring him in when growth has stalled, alignment is strained, or capital is at risk without shared conviction. He does not deliver generic inspiration. Each keynote is tailored to the strategy, language, and inflection point of the organization in the room.

His work sits at the intersection of myth and metrics. In an AI-driven world, language governs how organizations behave. Capital does not compound without conviction. Michael helps leaders design the belief structures that improve the odds before results appear.

Language Is the New Leverage
Strategic Storytelling in the Age of AI

In the Age of AI, language is no longer messaging. It is leverage. The way leaders frame strategy now shapes execution, capital allocation, product priorities, and market response. When narrative coherence is strong, velocity increases. When it fragments, friction compounds. In this keynote, Michael introduces strategic storytelling as infrastructure. He shows how belief compounds before revenue does, and how conviction must be architected before capital moves. Leaders leave with a practical framework for diagnosing narrative friction, increasing decision velocity, and aligning teams around one coherent strategic spine.

Accelerating Deal Velocity
Strategic Storytelling for Enterprise Revenue Growth

Enterprise deals stall when buyers cannot clearly see the future. In complex buying environments, language shapes trust, risk perception, and executive confidence. This keynote shows how strategic storytelling reduces cognitive drag inside sales cycles. When positioning, sales conversations, and executive framing align under one coherent strategic narrative, hesitation drops and momentum builds. This is not about better decks. It is about making the future credible enough for customers to act. Revenue teams leave with a framework to clarify value, increase close rates, shorten cycles, and strengthen executive buy-in across multi-stakeholder buying committees.

Leading Change in the Age of AI
Strategic Storytelling for Enterprise Transformation

Transformation fails when belief fragments. In the Age of AI, leaders are asking teams to rethink workflows, operating models, and even identity. Data may justify change. Strategic storytelling determines whether people commit. This keynote shows how leadership language shapes alignment before behavior shifts. When storytelling is coherent, uncertainty becomes navigable and resistance declines. When messaging fragments, fatigue multiplies. Senior leaders leave with a disciplined framework for aligning conviction early, reducing internal drag, and accelerating AI and digital initiatives with shared clarity and coordinated execution.

Capital Follows Conviction
Strategic Storytelling for Valuation and Multiples

Capital does not compound without conviction. In venture and private equity environments, companies rarely stall because of product alone. They stall because the future is not legible enough for markets to move. Narrative clarity determines how efficiently capital converts into momentum. In this keynote, Michael shows how strategic storytelling strengthens positioning, defensibility, and perceived category leadership. Investors and portfolio executives learn how to diagnose narrative risk before it suppresses multiples, align leadership around a coherent market thesis, and architect conviction before capital is deployed. The result is stronger valuation, improved capital efficiency, and clearer paths to exit.
