Biography

Mia Armstrong

Mia Armstrong is living proof that every life has purpose. A history-making SAG-AFTRA actress, model, voiceover artist, advocate, and author, Mia proudly declares Down syndrome her "superpower." She shattered barriers by becoming the first child with Down syndrome to voice a cartoon character and the first to have a lead role in a Christmas movie. As the voice of EON on Netflix’s Action Pack, she brought to life a superhero with Down syndrome who can manipulate time—showing the world that differences are not limitations but extraordinary gifts. In A Christmas in New Hope, she portrayed a young girl with Down syndrome being raised by a single mother, further proving that stories of individuals living with disabilities belong at the heart of mainstream media.

Mia’s bold advocacy has led her to national stages and major media platforms, including ABC’s The View, MSNBC, The Tamron Hall Show, CBS This Morning with Gayle King, and Apple TV’s Hello Jack, where she appeared in multiple episodes. She has modeled for major brands such as Tommy Hilfiger, Walmart, Target, Amazon, Ross, Osh Kosh, Teleflora, Walgreens, Samsung, Cheerios, Chase Bank, Nickelodeon, Securian, Visit California, and Once Upon a Farm. But beyond the spotlight, Mia's true calling is to use her voice to champion the value of every life—especially those the world too often overlooks.

In 2025, Mia opened the National Pro-Life Summit with humor and fearless conviction, setting the stage for renowned speakers such as Dr. Ben Carson, Charlie Kirk, and Bethany Hamilton. Unafraid of the challenge, she made it clear that her voice is just as valuable as those who followed her. Mia refuses to be disregarded, proving that worth is not measured by worldly status but by God-given purpose. "We win this fight with our hearts," she declares, believing that love, compassion, and truth are the most powerful tools in defending the sanctity of life.

Mia is also the author of I Am A Masterpiece, a children’s book that offers a heartfelt, first-person account of the joys and challenges of growing up with Down syndrome. An Amazon Editor’s Pick and a Good Housekeeping "must-read," her book was recognized among the Top 18 books written by authors with disabilities. Through her words, both spoken and written, Mia invites the world to celebrate every person as God’s masterpiece, for as Scripture declares: "For we are God’s masterpiece. He has created us anew in Christ Jesus, so we can do the good things he planned for us long ago" (Ephesians 2:10, NLT).

Whether speaking alone or alongside her mother, Cara Armstrong, Mia delivers a message of hope, resilience, and the undeniable truth that God intentionally designs every life. She reminds us that wisdom often comes from the most unexpected voices, just as Jesus built His church not on the elite scholars of His time, but on fishermen, tax collectors, and those the world dismissed. God calls the willing, not just the credentialed, and it is courage and faith—not intellect alone—that advance His kingdom. Mia’s life is a testament to what happens when we reject the limitations imposed by prejudice, ignorance, and a culture that worships intellect over intrinsic worth. She stands as a bold reminder that God’s plans are never bound by human expectations—and when we dare to embrace His calling, we don’t just break barriers, we shatter them.

Cara Armstrong

Cara Armstrong is a woman of deep faith, a dedicated disability rights advocate, and a passionate pro-lifer. As a registered nurse with 20 years of experience, an entrepreneur, and an inventor holding multiple U.S. patents, she has witnessed firsthand the undeniable truth that every life is created by God with purpose and value. Cara is committed to ensuring that individuals with Down syndrome are seen, valued, and included—not only in education and in society but by medical professionals that deliver pre-natal diagnoses. Her message is that advocacy begins in the womb.

Burdened by the global disappearance of Down syndrome, Cara created the storyline and vision for Superpowers, a ground-breaking music video exposing Iceland’s efforts to eliminate Down syndrome. The project was written and performed by high school students she educated on the topic and traveled to Iceland with, amplifying the voices of the next generation to bring awareness to this urgent cause.

Cara’s advocacy has led her to national media platforms, including The View, The Tamron Hall Show, Good Morning America, CBS This Morning with Gayle King, and MSNBC’s The 11th Hour. Yet, she knows that the most important stage is the one God places before her each day—to boldly proclaim that every person, regardless of ability, is fearfully and wonderfully made (Psalm 139:13-14).

Reflecting on her journey, Cara sees how God was preparing her long before she became a special needs parent—but she initially resisted His call. Now, she reminds others that even when we hesitate, question, or push back against God’s plan, His grace remains steadfast. He equips us for the assignments He calls us to, and His goodness pursues us even in our uncertainty. Sometimes, we don’t just step into our destiny—we give birth to it.

Cara often shares the stage with her daughter, Mia Armstrong, a history-making actress, model, voiceover artist, advocate, and author who proudly declares that Down syndrome is her superpower. Together, they bring a powerful message of resilience, hope, and God’s divine purpose for every life. Their story is a living testimony to the truth that life doesn’t have to be "perfect" to be beautiful—and that God often reveals our greatest purpose in the places we least expect.
