Dave Sanderson is a nationally recognized leadership speaker and inspirational survivor of what is known as "The Miracle on the Hudson." As the last passenger off Flight 1549 which ditched into the river, he is taking the lessons he learned from that profound experience and is now on a mission to encourage others to do the right thing and share coping skills to address any adversity they may face.
Dave is convinced that everyone has their own defining moment, whether it be personal or professional but knows that most people don't know how to take that first step to find the opportunities out of their own uncertainty, the subject of his fourth book, The Limitless Life.
Named one of Inc.com's Top 100 speakers, Dave has traveled the world to share his inspiration, while raising over $14.8 million dollars for the American Red Cross. When US Airways Flight 1549, or “The Miracle on the Hudson” ditched into the Hudson River on January 15, 2009, Dave Sanderson knew he was exactly where he was supposed to be.
The last passenger off the back of the plane on that fateful day, he was largely responsible for the well-being and safety of others, risking his own life in frigid water to help other passengers off the plane.
Dave has been in leadership roles in all aspects of his life; business, family and church. One of those roles was head of security for noted speaker, Anthony Robbins. Tony taught Dave that “success leaves clues” and to seek out resources that have obtained the goal you want to achieve so you can “compress the decades of their learnings into your days of execution.” One of the areas Dave is passionate about is personal leadership. He started to seek out leaders in all aspects of life and found that one of the ways these leaders became the leaders they have become is by solving BIG problems. He realized that one of the best problem solvers in history was Jesus.
