I have had the privilege of living an awake, focused, and adventurous life with many highs and lows along the way. But it wasn’t until I nearly died that I truly experienced my first “brick upside the head” jolt from the universe that really took me for a spin. It might have been the first jolt, but it wasn’t the last. This one was even more intense and jolting - when my wife almost died. Both of these events happened over my 26 years of marriage and I can honestly say I found a way to see them both as great gifts of life.
Near death — a gift? How?
I found these terrifying experiences allowed me to reconfirm my inner core values and spiritual beliefs, beliefs that allowed me to find gratitude for all that transpired through each experience.
The moral of the story, however, is you shouldn’t have to experience death to feel more alive. Start now! I want to explore how finding deeper meaning and purpose in our overall lives mentally, physically, emotionally, spiritually and yes, materially can lead to the lives we all truly desire.
