Do you have a Bible reading plan for 2016 in place? Why not join me on a walk through the Psalms for the first half of the year?

There are 150 Psalms, so from January to May, let’s read one per day. They are brief but meaty, full of both lament and praise. We will grow so much during the first half of the year if we read the Psalms together slowly and apply them.

Every week, I will be posting thoughts about what we are reading on my blog and discussing the Psalms on my new podcast and also on Periscope. I will let you know when the first episode of my podcast is live. Until then, download your printable January calendar. That way, if you skip a few days of reading the Psalms, you will always know where we are in the sequence.

Download your printable Psalms Calendar here!

What is the plan?

  1. Read 1 Psalm every day … or …
  2. Read all 7 Psalms on the 7th day.

Either way will keep you on track and current with what I will be discussing on my podcast and in blog posts.

What is the method?

  1. Read the Psalm outloud and consider its application in your life … or …
  2. Read the Psalm and copy the line that stands out to you in a journal and consider its application in your life.

I would love to know how many of you are coming along on this walk through the Psalms. You may already be committed to another Bible reading plan or study. That is no problem! You can join for all or for only part of the journey. The podcast, blog posts, and printable calendar will keep you up-to-date with where we are. Comment below if you think you may join me!

How Can You Guard Your Heart?

I read this verse dozens of times in my youth, determining that God wanted me to be very careful about what I chose to watch or listen to, to be careful about the fri...

To Have a Friend in Every Decade
It stung when the teenage girl hung her head, blonde curls falling into her eyes, "I wanted to talk to someone older about it,"; she said, "but I really don't have anybody."; Days afterward, I was still thinking about what a tragedy that was. She was part of a church. How is it possible for someone who is part of a church to say that she doesn...
