Libby Rapin

Libby Rapin is the founder of Something Beautiful and Co-Founder of BluWave Wellbeing. She is a sought after speaker who aims to deliver an educational and uplifting message in an interactive and positive format that will inspire people to live purpose driven lives filled with more joy, love, and compassion in order to bring healing into the world. After spending ten years in human resources for high growth technology start-ups, she reached the point of burnout and is now on a mission to create awareness about the mental health crisis our world is facing and to share the gifts of mindfulness and meditation to help people heal. Her writing has been featured on Thrive Global and Medium, and she has studied the topics of wellbeing under internationally renowned teachers such as Deepak Chopra, Tony Robbins and Bob Proctor, to name a few. Libby's work experience brings a unique and robust understanding of the needs of people and companies, and how working harmoniously in pursuit of common goals while maximizing potential, increases contributions and workplace satisfaction. As a human resources leader in the technology start-up space, Libby's specialty was growing HR departments for high growth companies. Through this experience, she came to realize her innate ability to connect on a personal level with individuals at all levels within an organization and this connection fueled her passion to build corporate programs that allow individuals to thrive in the workplace. Thanks to her evolving health journey, and frustrations with common medicine, Libby explored various forms of alternative medicine treatments. This newfound curiosity led her to begin studying treatments that focused on the mind/body connection. This led to a familiarization with the power of mindset in the healing process as she experimented with a daily meditation practice as an alternative healing mechanism (in combination with lifestyle, diet and exercise). After experiencing firsthand the healing power of meditation, Libby began her studies under Deepak Chopra at the Chopra Center in Carlsbad, CA, becoming a Certified Primordial Sound Meditation Coach and also received her certification in Applied Positive Psychology. Libby's life mission is to help individuals experience more joy, love and compassion in their lives by creating awareness about the negative toll stress has on the body both physically and emotionally. She is now uniquely qualified to enter a professional environment to provide education about the power of our mindset in the healing process and share meditation and mindfulness tools and training to help balance the demands of the competitive work environment. Her hope is that through her messages, people who are suffering from "dis-ease" can find something beautiful in their experiences in order to heal. Libby leads a variety of workshops, speaking enggements and educational sessions primarily focused on stress management techniques, meditation, mindfulness and ways to live a more purpose driven life.

Going From Surviving to Thriving in an Ever Changing World

Change is a constant, but for some reason change is something that most humans dread. Change can be disruptive and increase stress levels, which ultimately negatively impacts our wellbeing over time. Fortunately, science is continuously proving the powerful health benefits of mindfulness and how it can positively impact the change process when we care for our mental health. In this session participants will learn how to use mindfulness to thrive through change, why it is no longer a way of being you can ignore and walk away with simple mindfulness techniques that don't feel like extra work and have lasting health and productivity benefits.

The Prescription for Monkey Brain in the Workplace

Gallup reports 67% of employees aren’t engaged at work. The National Institute of Mental Health stated that 1 in 5 US adults lives with a mental illness. We spend most of our time multitasking, which has increased the diagnosis for “Monkey Brain” syndrome, when we lose control of what is happening due to excessive multitasking and mindless activities. These factors make us much less efficient in our jobs because we no longer have the ability, or desire, to complete simple tasks, thereby decreasing employee productivity. Mindfulness training is an affordable benefit offering that combats “Monkey Brain” syndrome, has a high ROI and increases our livelihood. Studies continue to prove employers can no longer NOT afford mindfulness training.

Lighten Up

Can you sit back and honestly say you are living your best life? If not, don't worry because you aren't alone. Most people are setting crazy high expectations for themselves and the weight of the demands in their work and personal lives are overwhelming. These scenarios are weighing us down, increasing our stress levels and ultimately negatively impacting our mental health, so it is time to Lighten Up so we can live life to the fullest! In this session we will cover the importance of self compassion, intentionally caring for our wellbeing and 5 mindset shifts that will Lighten Up your life.

A Prescription for Burnout + Anxiety

Companies are facing an employee burnout and mental health crisis. The World Health Organization has called burnout an "occupational phenomenon" and according to a Deloitte study on workplace burnout, 77% of respondents say they have experienced employee burnout at their current job, with more than half citing more than one occurrence. However, science is showing the powerful benefits mindfulness can have to combat anxiety and burnout. In this session, attendees will learn how mindfulness can help people support their mental health and walk away with simple techniques they can use to help them jump out of bed in the morning!
