Pedro LaTorre is a dynamic speaker, consultant, and coach who has dedicated his life to inspiring individuals and teams to thrive by walking with Jesus and walking like Jesus. His journey began on the baseball diamond, where he dreamed of a professional career and had won the attention of several professional baseball scouts. However, a career-ending injury in high school forced Pedro to redefine his purpose. Growing up in a broken home, weathering the storms of childhood abuse, and navigating constant change taught him resilience and faith. Through it all, his relationship with Jesus became his only true hope and foundation for a life of meaning and impact.
Pedro began speaking professionally at just 17 years old under the mentorship of world-renowned communicator Reggie Dabbs. He has since spoken at hundreds of churches across the country, as well as major events like Alive Festival, the largest Christian music festival in America, where he has been a featured speaker multiple times. Pedro has also toured with Bethel Music, Cory Asbury, David Leonard, and many other influential Christian artists, combining his love for storytelling and his passion for worship. His work with Compassion International and charity: water as a storyteller and consultant has helped raise over $300 million in recurring revenue for missional causes, showcasing his ability to align purpose with impact.
Before stepping out to plant Rest L.A. Church in the heart of Los Angeles, Pedro and his wife, Jessica, were profoundly shaped by their time in the community of Pastor Judah Smith. This season equipped them with the vision and faith to lead a thriving church that reached people where they were. Pedro’s passion for helping men recover their hearts and live surrendered, strong lives has become a cornerstone of his coaching. Regularly utilizing Dr. Chip Dodd’s 8 Feelings framework, Pedro has walked alongside pastors and leaders, offering guidance and support to some of the most influential Christian voices of our time.
Pedro’s message has been featured on leading platforms like the DadTired Podcast with host Jerrad Lopes, among many others. He is also the creator of Purpose Academy, a transformative program that helps leaders and teams cultivate deeper meaning and purpose both in and out of the office. As the author of The Middle Seat: Stop Craving Platforms, Start Loving People, Pedro challenges readers to lead with humility and service. His second book, Measuring Meaning in The Digital Age, is set to release soon, continuing his mission to guide people toward a life of purpose.
Pedro lives in Nashville, TN, with his wife of 15 years and their two amazing children. Whether working with churches, pastors, or missional organizations, Pedro’s faith and values continue to shape his life and work, as he inspires others to lead lives of surrender, strength, and impact.
