Biography

Congressman Sean Duffy is the host of the Fox Business show, “The Bottom Line with Dagen and Duffy.” He also co-hosts the popular podcast “From the Kitchen Table" with his wife Rachel Campos-Duffy.

For ten years, Sean represented Wisconsin’s 7th District in the United States Congress, serving on the Financial Services Committee and chairing the Subcommittee on Insurance and Housing. Sean is proud of his time in Congress, which he used to support fair trade deals that put American workers first and help rebuild American manufacturing and farming. He believes that strengthening our economy means we must actively empower families, the private sector, and American entrepreneurs.

Prior to serving in Congress, Sean was the District Attorney of Ashland County for ten years where he brought over a hundred cases to trial with an over 90% trial success rate, but he is most proud of his work prosecuting child sex crimes in his community.

Sean was born and raised in Hayward, Wisconsin. As the tenth of eleven siblings in a large Irish Catholic family, Sean learned the values of compromise and cooperation. He also comes from a long line of lumberjacks, who helped build his beloved state of Wisconsin. Sean believes strongly in tradition and family and proudly kept the legacy of his ancestors alive by becoming a world-champion lumberjack athlete. Sean paid his way through college and law school by doing lumberjack exhibitions and competitions throughout the country and abroad, showcasing the old-time lumberjack skills of chopping, sawing, axe-throwing, logrolling, and tree-climbing. Sean’s favorite category is the 60 and 90-foot speed climb, a grueling and dangerous competition that many say is the “bull-riding” of lumberjack sports. Sean is a three-time world champion in the 90-foot speed climb and his accomplishments in the sport are why he was also chosen to be an ESPN Great Outdoor Games color commentator for this all-American competition.

When Sean was in his twenties, he got his start in television on the iconic MTV reality TV show, The Real World. He also starred on MTV spin-off shows “The Real World Challenge” and “Road Rules All Stars,” where he met his wife, Rachel.

Rachel and Sean are America’s first and longest married reality TV couple. They have been married for 24 years and have nine children together. Their youngest, Valentina, was born with Down Syndrome and Sean vigorously advocates on behalf of his daughter, the unborn, and everyone with special needs.
