Michael Reagan has a message for the Republican Party: Stay on message.
"When you make it personal, nothing ever will be accomplished," Reagan said. "We need to have a message other than, 'We hate Barack Obama.'"
Reagan, the eldest son of President Ronald Reagan, recently told North Dakota's The Bismark Tribune that his famous father was successful because of his ideas--not his ability to attack his opponents. "What was his big picture? It was, 'How do I bring down the Berlin Wall? How do I lower taxes? How do I end the Cold War?'" he said.
According to Reagan, the GOP now lacks leadership and clarity of message. Instead, they have resorted to personal attacks--something President Reagan avoided.
