A former Wisconsin farm girl, who’s never “rolled in the hay,” this Hollywood actress challenges her audience to take a stand against supporting violent, obscene entertainment. She reveals how the media glamorizes sex, drugs, alcohol, violence, cutting and suicide without showing the devastating consequences.
Tina Marie has experience as a speaker, actress, spokes model, author, and emcee. She was recently on the Alan Colmes National Fox Radio show and was featured on the American Perspective. She also made a guest appearance on the Dr. Keith Ablow show in NYC promoting her abstinence stance until marriage. Her current love is partaking as the popculture expert on the No Apologies radio show. She’s worked on TV shows such as “Lizzie MaGuire,” “Little Black Book,” “Jimmy Kimmel Live,” “Young and the Restless,” “Domino Day,” and many others. She is currently a contributing writer for the Student Operated Press and was a contributing writer for the book “Can You Handle the Truth” and limited Too’s “Passion for Fashion” national tour emcee. Tina Marie has opened for bands such as Third Day, Jeremy Camp, Jeff Deyo, Apologetix, Skillet and more… Her involvement as a contestant in
the preliminary Miss America pageant sparked her interest in educating society on what today’s media is calling “harmless entertainment.”
During this live, interactive presentation, Tina Marie will discuss the dangerous affects of playing the top selling violent video games and show a glimpse of what life is like on death row for several teen killers as a result. She will also examine the devastating consequences of drugs and alcohol which is not revealed in pop-culture and show the physical consequences of a drug abuser in real life. In addition, Tina Marie examines the lyrics and quotes from the top
music groups on the charts today. Her goal is to show how the media glamorizes harmful and life-threatening behavior without showing the consequences.
Her in-depth presentation will expose how celebrities shelter their own children from the “entertainment” they create, how pop-culture makes sex look “cheap,” show interviews from rappers who are drug-free around their own children, and include an exclusive look at how the lyrics negatively affect our hearts and minds. Tina Marie will share her first-hand experience working and acting in Hollywood for the past 9 years and will reveal the latest and hottest positive entertainment choices from movies, video games, TV shows and comedians! In addition to the above, Tina Marie also includes a strategy for parents such as what to do if their children are listening to or watching negative entertainment. She gives them an overview on how to
talk to their teens and keep the lines of communication open. Setting house guidelines, watching for advisory warning labels on CDs, being aware of burned CDs, edited CDs, theatre jumping, teen television, HBO, MTV and Showtime are some other topics she addresses. In addition, information on the inaccuracy of web-filters is given along with choosing the best location for placing the computer in the home. Today’s porn, chat rooms, video game ratings, cheat codes in video games, and MySpace dangers are also discussed. The best web-filters and how to analyze movies and music before investing in them is also given along with many positive entertainment choices that exist today.
