Tim Elmore is the Founder and president of "Growing Leaders" a non-profit organization created to develop emerging leaders. Through Growing Leaders, he and his team are equipping middle school, high school and college students on hundreds of campuses in the U.S. including Duke, Rutgers, Florida State and Christian colleges such as Biola University, Bethel College, Asbury College and Regent University. This is his passion, having worked with students since 1979. In addition, Tim has equipped leaders in corporations such as Chick-fil-A, HomeBanc, Gold Kist, and Home and Garden Party.

He also serves as Vice President of Leadership Development, at EQUIP, a non-profit organization founded by Dr. John Maxwell. EQUIP's objective is to train one million Christian leaders around the globe by 2006, through conferences, training materials, books, DVD and technology. Tim Elmore has ministered in 34 countries, including India, Russia, China, England, Egypt, Lebanon, Australia, Argentina, several countries in Europe and the Philippines. He is committed to developing young leaders and pastors on every continent of the world.

Since 1983, Tim Elmore has served under and been mentored by Dr. John Maxwell, best-selling author of The 21 Irrefutable Laws of Leadership, The 17 Indispensable Laws of Teamwork, Developing the Leader Within You, Failing Forward and others. Tim has served as a pastor at two churches and vice president of two organizations since 1979. He received his Bachelors degree from Oral Roberts University, and his Master of Divinity and Doctor of Ministry degrees from Azusa Pacific University.

Tim has authored numerous books, including Nurturing the Leader Within Your Child, Soul Provider and Pivotal Praying from Thomas Nelson Publishers, and a series of books with Lifeway Publishers that includes: Authentic Influence-Leading Without Titles, Wired for Influence-Skills to Lead Others, Intentional Influence-Investing Your Life Through Mentoring, and Leveraging Your Influence-Impacting Your Campus for Christ. Along with leadership, he has a passion for mentoring and practices this ministry with leaders each year at his church. He has written Mentoring: How to Invest Your Life in Others and The Greatest Mentors in the Bible which communicate this passion.

Tim Elmore lives in Atlanta with his wife Pam and his two children Bethany and Jonathan.
