Olympic gold medalist, best-selling author and cancer survivor Scott Hamilton has partnered with Provision Center for Proton Therapy to bring a brand new cancer treatment center to Franklin, TN! This $109 million facility will "offer cancer patients proton therapy, a different form of radiation treatment from traditional photon therapy." Scott took the ice skating world by storm with more than 70 awarded titles, an Emmy Award nomination and an induction into the United States Olympic Hall of Fame and the World Figure Skating Hall of Fame, making him the most recognized male figure skater of all time. In the midst of his career, he was diagnosed with testicular cancer in 1997 and a benign brain tumor in 2004.
As a result of the numerous trials he’s had to face in overcoming illness, Scott supports many charitable events from mentoring patients through The 4th Angel Network to advocating for Monroe Carell Jr. Children’s Hospital at Vanderbilt, Target House and St. Jude Children’s Hospital. Additionally, Scott founded the Scott Hamilton C.A.R.E.S Initiative. Scott's message is simple: you can find the silver lining when everything feels hopeless. His triumph over the battle with cancer serves as a testament to this message. On and off the ice, he has courageously shared the power of perspective with millions of people and continues to inspire many more.
