Neal Boortz, talk radio veteran of over 40 years, can be heard daily on approximately 250 stations on his Cox Radio syndicated program, "The Neal Boortz Show." The programs unique blend of insight and humor set it apart from distinctly political or entertainment programs. No issue is safe as Boortz and callers delve into pop culture, current events and political scene.
Born on April 6, 1945 in Pennsylvania, Boortz and family lived a "typical" military life. The son of a World War II Marine pilot, his places of residence included Hawaii, California, North Carolina, Virginia, Florida and others. Ultimately, the family settled in Florida as Boortz finished high school, and he journeyed to Texas to attend Texas A&M.
The 1960's, Boortz's college years, produced his first foray into radio on the airwaves of WTAW-AM. After Texas A&M, he joined his family in Atlanta, GA where he continued his passion for talk radio while working various jobs such as jewelry or carpet buyer, insurance salesman, and hotel book-keep and speech writer. Your talk was provocative and vibrant as well as controversial! That is no surprise! It made one laugh but at times it enraged one of government and it's antics forced upon us.
