Biography

2012 marks the third year for Jerry Schemmel as one of the radio voices of the Colorado Rockies. He teams with Jack Corrigan on flagship station KOA in Denver.
Schemmel is also an Assistant Baseball Coach and Recruiting Coordinator at Colorado Christian University in Denver. Schemmel works with the hitters and defensively with middle infielders at CCU and handles all aspects of recruiting for the Division II baseball program, under Head Coach Scott Douglas.

Schemmel was the radio voice of the Denver Nuggets for 18 seasons, from 1992 to 2010. His sportscasting career spans some 28 years and includes radio and television play by play of both professional and major college sports, including a season as the radio Voice of Colorado State Rams. He also spent one year as deputy commissioner and legal counsel for the Continental Basketball Association.
