Jason Guy
Biography

Jason Guy, contestant from the CBS hit reality show "Big Brother 3," has been called one of the greatest Christian characters to impact primetime television. A worship leader and speaker, Jason uses the platform provided by his small screen success to impact lives across America.

With few expectations and small odds of success, Jason Guy applied with 6,000 other entrants for an opportunity to compete in CBS's reality TV program "Big Brother 3." Remarkably, he was chosen as one of the twelve contestants and entered the Big Brother house in the summer of 2002. His goal was simple - to make new friends and potentially win the $500,000 grand prize. Jason finished the show in third place after 79 days in the sequestered house with his every move caught on camera and viewed by over 15 million people three nights per week.

Jason was ultimately evicted for the primary reason that he demonstrated the greatest threat to the two remaining houseguests. While he did not return home with the final prize, Jason Guy did impact the lives of all of the houseguests and many of the viewers during his 11-week stay. With an 86% popularity rating among viewers, he was the most popular of all houseguests from the first three seasons of Big Brother.

With an inner passion to encourage others to live out their faith, Jason shared his faith with America through word and action. His honest, straight-forward dealings with each houseguest provided an example of a Godly approach to life that has impacted culture in a unique manner.

Jason Guy's media roots run deep. At the age of twelve, he received his FCC license and worked for various radio stations in Mobile, Alabama for the next twelve years. During his high school years, he hosted the "Fox 15 Breakfast Club" TV program shown on WPMI, the Gulf Coast affiliate. He also worked for Mobile-based record label Integrity Music serving as Radio Promotions Coordinator.

Jason has provided freelance video and audio production services and worked as the Junior High Student Ministries Director for Knollwood Christian Church in Mobile, AL. After his "Big Brother 3" experience, Jason worked for more than 3 years as casting director on reality shows such as "The Amazing Race"(CBS,) "Survivor" (CBS,) "The Biggest Loser" (NBC) and "Beauty and the Geek" (The WB.) During his tenure on "The Amazing Race", the program was awarded multiple Emmy's.

Today, Jason Guy is the lead vocalist for the Jason Guy Band, a modern praise and worship band. The 31-year old artist and wife now live in Richmond, Virginia where he also provides coverage as part of the "Good Morning Richmond" team.

Program information:
Program information:

Jason will work with youth pastors to develop a 'custom' weekend or week-long "Encounter" (a.k.a. Retreat) event for their students and young adults. The goal of an "Encounter" event is to #1) bring into clear focus the essentials of our faith in Jesus Christ and #2) give them an opportunity to draw closer to God in their personal relationship. This is an event that will be relevant for students and young adults who have never been to church before and for those who have been plugged-in for years.

Plus, the friendships built during the "Encounter" last long after the event is over because everyone has shared an experience, and they are there to support each other in their life in Christ. An "Encounter" is a life-changing event for everyone involved.
