Olympic medalist Hollis Conway was born in Chicago, Illinois, on January 8, 1967. From a difficult birth where his head was lodged under his mother's rib cage, he was given only a 50/50 chance of ever being a normal child. Boy did he ever prove them wrong.
Twenty-one years later, not only did Hollis prove to be a normal child but he also became one of the most prolific high jumpers in track and field history. He was the number one jumper in the United States for seven straight years. Six of those years, Hollis Conway was ranked in the top four in the world, conquering the number one spot twice. To his credit, Hollis has won two Olympic medals, a Silver in 1988 and a Bronze in 1992, and he still holds the American indoor record at 7'10.5".
Hollis Conway has been featured on many world renowned talk shows and commercials, some of which include TBN, The Harvest Show, Nike and McDonalds.
From a difficult birth to a Two-Time Olympic Medalist, Hollis has proven to be a real life over comer. Hollis Conway truly believes that life may become difficult at times but with the right attitude, a good plan and a strong will to survive, success will be inevitable!
