Liz Allison

Liz Allison knows racing.

Liz has spent seventeen years at the race track as a drivers wife and later, a member of the sports media covering NASCAR Nextel Cup events.

Liz was married to racing superstar, Davey Allison until his untimely death in 1993.

Lizs passion for the sport continues today, as she covers the sport of stock car racing through many facets of the media.

Liz is a popular radio personality in Nashville. Her NASCAR insight and top notch guests have made her NASCAR programming the #1 NASCAR show in Nashville.

She has hosted such television shows as Motoring Music City on ESPN 2 as well as served as race analyst for the CBS affiliate in Nashville.

In 2004, Liz joined the Nashville Super Speedway as announcer and host for the speedways four major race events each calendar year, making her the first women to serve the Nashville motorsports industry in this capacity.

Liz has covered NASCAR racing for TNT Sports as a pit road reporter and feature reporter. She has appeared on many national television and radio shows throughout her career. She has written three published books on the sport. Lizs fourth book will be released on Center Street a division of Time Warner Book Group Inc., in the spring of 2006. Liz serves as a contributing author to numerous race publications.

Few women have covered the sport of auto racing to the level in which Allison has. Liz Allisons knowledge of the sport and the relationships with the people that make the sport, make her a rare find in the motorsports media.

Liz is involved with many charitable organizations and is an active public speaker for businesses, churches, schools and organizations.

Liz is remarried and lives in Nashville with her husband, Ryan and three children.
