Brooks Douglass

Brooks Douglass has had diverse careers in business, politics, the military, and film-making. At only 27, he was elected the youngest State Senator to serve in Oklahoma. During his 12-year tenure, he served on the Appropriations, Energy and Commerce committees, co-chaired the standing committee on International Trade Development, and authored groundbreaking legislation in victims' rights. Prior to, and while serving in the Senate, Brooks founded several small businesses and represented clients throughout the world on finance, opening markets in emerging economies, and government relations.

After retiring from the senate, Brooks began to focus on a long-held passion for writing, acting and creating. He recently co-authored and produced Heaven's Rain, a powerful faith-based film honoring his parents, Richard and Marilyn Douglass, who were tragically killed in 1979. Heaven's Rain shares heartwarming memories of the Douglass family and examples of how his parents' love and support ultimately prepared Brooks and his sister, Leslie to face their family tragedy with resilience, faith and compassion. In his film debut, Brooks himself plays his father, Richard, who was a pastor, missionary, and example of the life-changing power of forgiveness.

Brooks is a graduate of Baylor University, Oklahoma City University Law School, and Harvard University's Kennedy School of Government. He currently lives in Southern California with his wife Julea and their two young children
