Brenda Warner has worn many titles during her journey through life, which has included exhilarating highs and devastating lows - Devout Christian, Former Marine, Mother, Registered Nurse, Wife and Compassionate Philanthropist.

Born Brenda Carney in Cedar Falls, IA, Brenda Warner devoted her life to Jesus Christ at the tender age of 12. Often called “Jesus Freak” at school, she never wavered in her spiritual commitment. Brenda enlisted in the Marines between her junior and senior years at Cedar Falls High School and left for boot camp just two weeks after graduation. As a corporal specializing in intelligence, Brenda was stationed in Okinawa, Japan, New Orleans, LA, and Virginia Beach, VA before receiving a Hardship Discharge from the Marines after an accident to infant son Zachary resulted in severe head injuries and blindness.

After returning to IA, Brenda Warner earned a degree as a registered nurse, welcomed the arrival of her daughter Jesse Jo, and met a relatively unknown college quarterback named Kurt Warner. A short time later, Brenda’s strength was tested again when a tornado took the lives of her parents who had recently moved to Arkansas.

In October 1997, Brenda married Kurt who was playing with the Arena Football League Barnstormers and hoping for a chance in the NFL. The Warners moved to St. Louis in 1998 and experienced the meteoric rise of the Rams and Kurt during the 1999 season which culminated with a Super Bowl victory and many new titles for Brenda’s husband: NFL MVP, Super Bowl MVP, All-Pro, etc.

In May 2001, Brenda and Kurt Warner established the FIRST THINGS FIRST Foundation, a non-profit public charity dedicated to impacting lives by promoting Christian values, sharing experiences and providing opportunities to encourage everyone that all things are possible when people seek to put first things first.
