Theresa Boyce
Biography

Theresa Boyce is a speaker and experienced business executive.

Theresa Boyce is Chair and CEO of the CEO Trust, a group of associations for top executives based in New York. She has a 25-year history of managing start-ups, business unit ramp-ups, and turnarounds in a spectrum of companies from entrepreneurial ventures to multi-billion dollar corporations. With CEO, P&L responsibility for 15 years, she has managed business cycles from conceptual idea to billion dollar businesses in environments that were volatile and unpredictable. She has been involved in every distribution/marketing channel, and trained in most channels from premier companies in related industries. She is passionate about business and about bringing people together, which has led her for the last few years to devote herself to associations for successful executives. These associations create deep relationships and enable unforgettable exchanges.

Boyce worked as a CPA for KPMG, earned her Wharton MBA with concentrations in finance and marketing, and obtained her initial marketing and sales training with Procter and Gamble brand management. Her industry experience includes consumer packaged goods, industrial durable goods, fashion and banking. Some significant milestones include: new brand development leading to the introduction of Oil of Olay bar soap; leading the strategic development and introduction of a new Private Bank at Comerica; successful launch of Glacier Creek casual clothing; and start-up of Lennox Service Experts, growing the business to more than $1 billion in two years.

Her association-building responsibilities began in school where she founded or presided over numerous clubs. The college Business Club that she created as an undergraduate still functions to this day. She has been very active in the Wharton Alumni Association, sitting on the board for 9 years. While in Texas, she revived the Wharton Club of Dallas-Ft. Worth, which has remained active and vibrant since she turned it over to her successors in 2003. In 2001, she was a founding member of the CEO Netweavers, a Dallas organization of top executives that has since grown to over 300 members.

After Boyce moved to New York, she started CEO Trust--an organization of generous-spirited leaders of large and middle-market companies, which launched in June 2008. Six months later, she started CEO Trust Quovis, an organization of similarly screened CEOs of smaller businesses. In late 2009 she launched C-Suite Trust, an organization for executives at the top of their respective corporate functions reporting to the CEO. In late 2010, the Trust expanded to Connecticut, in late 2011 to Pennsylvania, and in early 2012 expanded to include a Cloud Membership. Now with more than 100 members and growing rapidly, these organizations represent a powerful network of prominent business leaders across a broad mix of industries. Each organization runs one event each month that attract between 20 and 100 persons for networking, panel discussions, and other activities. There are also numerous, regular committee and special interest group gatherings. The CEO Trust organizations draw the bulk of their members from the Northeast, but include people from all over the world. Because these organizations screen for "generous spirits," members describe their participation as uniquely rewarding.

In addition to running the CEO Trust, Boyce is active in various for-profit and non-profit organizations, including as a director on the boards of: Texas-based Chippenhook Corporation, one of the largest designer and manufacturers of packaging and displays for jewelry and apparel companies, and Hodak Value Advisors, a corporate governance firm.
