?I have had the privilege of working with Tony in his role as a motivational speaker for my sales team. Tony demonstrated qualities that had a direct influence on the team?s enthusiasm and strategic direction for their long and short-term goals. It has been an absolute pleasure knowing Tony and I have personally been positively effected by his drive and infectious enthusiasm.?
Andrew Streat, District Sales Manager, Pfizer Pharmaceuticals Pty Ltd

"At our recent corporate Sales Conference held in Caloundra, Queensland we had the opportunity to listen to Tony Mowbray, and his courageous story of survival and commitment to achieving his goal. Tony told us the inspiring story of his and his crew's survival against the fury of nature during the 1998 Sydney to Hobart Race, and how those events changed his life, making him more committed to achieving his lifelong dream of a solo world adventure. Tony explained how, through the power of his 100% commitment to his dream, this challenge and achieved in record-breaking time. I am sure that all of our staff members listening to his motivating, and sometimes moving story, will have taken away with them the importance of setting goals for oneself, and needing a clear vision of the result, in order to surpass any obstacle and achieve their goal. "
David Landgren, Managing Director, Apex Fenner Conveyor Belting

"Many thanks for your excellent presentation at our recent company conference. Your talk was informative and entertaining, and carried important elements of motivation and insight into human behaviour, which is important in the business and personal arena. All of our employees present gained from the experience. I would have no hesitation in recommending you to other organisations seeking an entertaining and motivational speaker."
Derek Sidey, General Manager/Director, Gledhill Constructions

"Tony's presentation had his audience of over one hundred people of diverse interests and ages completely spellbound. All agreed his message of determination and will to succeed was an inspiration. Should you be seeking speaker for general interest or as a motivator for any group, I thoroughly recommend Tony Mowbray. His down to earth approach has to be heard to be fully appreciated and his story is too good to be missed."
George Sinclair, President, Riding for the Disabled NSW

"I wanted to take the opportunity to express my thanks for your involvement in our staff sales workshop at Monte Pio Court. We had purposely bought together the staff from all parts of the organisation, from the front and back office areas to workshop ideas on how we could as a team, work together towards the common goal of lifting our sales. Your inspirational presentation was a perfect ending to a great day, I have had an incredible number of staff tell me how moved and motivated they were by your story, it really pulled a lot of what we had discussed together and put it into perspective. Our workshop had generated great ideas and good intentions, but your intervention generated the commitment we needed to turn ideas into actions."
Marshall Cowley, Executive Manager, Human Resources; Companion Credit Union Ltd.

"I was fortunate enough to have been in the audience of your presentation to Macquarie Bank personnel in Brisbane. To me, yours is not just a story of courage in the face of adversity, it is more a story about a victory for passion and desire, in an ongoing battle against fear and uncertainty. It is said that fear and desire are the two great motivators.... Well it's clear to me where you draw your motivation! Your story certainly struck a chord for me personally, as I know it did for everyone else who was present. Congratulations on your marvellous achievements, of which I have absolutely no doubt there will be many more, and if I knew the first thing about sailing I'd be lining up in the hope of getting on board your next adventure to the Antarctic.? ?Rest assured, never again will I fail to 'Look it in the Eye'."
Michael Gibson, Senior Manager BSD Credit, Banking & Property Group; Macquarie Bank Limited

"I learnt as a young boy that there are a few things in life you need to simply believe even if you can't see them. Atheists do not believe in God as they cannot or have never seen Him. It is difficult for them to digest abstract concepts such as these. After listening to you speak at the recent AMP conference in Auckland, NZ, if some one asks me ?Have you ever seen what ?Challenge? looks like?" I will say, without hesitating for a minute, that I have seen a man who has not only said hello to Challenge but has dwarfed it so much so that future generations will look at him as a benchmark for challenge! I will treasure the time that I was privileged to hear you and make it a point that my son and myself regularly view your expedition excerpts. This will remind me to add value to the rest of my life and ensure that I prepare my 8-year-old son to develop and nurture the attitude you personify. It's about time he learnt that there is more to life than seeing Dragon Ball Z and Pokemon! It is hard to demonstrate these days the virtues of dedication, determination and effort. The path of least resistance, no matter how inviting, always puts you on a road to a dead end. It's the road not taken that determines the destination of your life. I am grateful to you Tony for your time after the conference and the unique gift you presented to me. I am equally grateful to AMP for exposing me to personalities such as you who have given a new meaning to Life and have set an example for us to follow."
Nikhil Ghate

"Tony typifies the real Australian spirit and tells a great story with meaning and relevance. For over one hour, Tony had the audience spellbound as he detailed his tragedies and triumphs, his never say die attitude and his will to succeed." "Tony's message - dream, think, talk, commit, act - is both motivational and compelling. His ability to draw from his practical experiences and parallel them to the business world leaves the audience in no doubt as to his message." "A truly inspirational and unforgettable experience that leaves you thirsting for more."
Paul Rose, Sales Director, GlaxoSmithKline Consumer Healthcare

"I would like to compliment you on the motivational talk you gave to the Apex Fenner conference in Caloundra recently. Everyone we have subsequently spoken to who attended the conference have without reservation praised our foresight in obtaining your services. The participants ranged from senior management to floor service personnel including a large proportion of 'battle weary' sales people and it was amazing to see the affect your talk had on them. The trials and tribulations you have faced at sea on the solo around the world voyage and your experiences in the 1998 Sydney to Hobart race were to a non-sailor like myself almost impossible to comprehend. The sacrifices made by your family made it even more amazing and it touched quite a large number of us. On behalf of everyone here we wish you all the best in your future endeavours and would have no hesitation whatsoever in strongly recommending your services to any company or group that needs to hear from a true Australian hero."
Peter Abercrombie, Managing Director, Belle Banne Flexco Pty Ltd

"In February 2002, GE Commercial held its annual sales conference, bringing together all sales and risk staff and invited guests from GE Capital in the USA to kick start the year. The main focus of the conference was to share with the delegates the 2002 company targets, including volume and net income targets and for them to address how they could "step up to the challenge" and contribute to these goals. With large targets ahead, it was imperative for the GE Commercial leadership team to invite a guest speaker to the awards night who could inspire and motivate the delegates to face the challenges ahead no matter how big or small, particularly when the going gets tough! It was also important for the guest speaker to be able to take our theme and conference goals and combine it with their story so that the delegates could see and understand the relativities AND... Tony Mowbray did just that! Tony shared his experiences and challenges, aligning those challenges with those of GE Commercial. His presentation was truly motivating and 150 people were invigorated and moved by what Tony shared with them. A visitor from the USA claimed 'I have heard many guest speakers in my time he (Tony) is by far the best I have ever heard'."
Robert Piscitelli, Executive Officer, GE Commercial

"Tony was a big hit at our Congress meeting. He is a wonderful person to work with and we all really enjoyed his company and presentation. The general sentiment from everyone was that Tony has inspired us all to plan better, persevere through trials, and to keep our eyes on the prize or goal we started out to achieve. His story was very inspiring and emotionally moving. His is a rugged man with a tender spirit and it shows so clearly in his love for a challenge in how much he loves his family. In fact there were many wet eyes in the audience as we watched the video of him approaching the shore to meet his family and supporters. He is really an incredible man with an incredible story of courage and perseverance."
Russell P Schroeder, PPG Industries, Ohio

" When I first learned of Tony Mowbray and his story I was on a speaking tour of Australia. I listened with total fascination as the story of the 1998 Sydney to Hobart yacht race was recounted by one of the crewmembers. I was touched by the friendship and esteem this man felt for his captain and mate. I had to learn more. I had to meet this man. We invited Tony to speak at a key event in the USA that we organized for our customers. I was not prepared for the emotional and uplifting experience I was about to witness. Tony was spellbinding in his recount of the fateful Sydney to Hobart Race. In addition Tony went on to describe his record breaking solo trip around the world. As I looked around the room that evening every face was a reflection of the emotion they where experiencing, some smiling at the touching and inspiring return of Tony to his home port, most had tears streaming down their faces. In the world of business professional presentations we are often offered what I call "Fancy Pants" speakers. Very entertaining but not relevant. They lead you up to the well but do not let you drink. When Tony offered his powerful message he allowed us to drink greedily. The group of people in that room shared an 'A' ticket ride together into the life and experiences of a true adventurer and hero. John Wayne would have been proud to call Tony Mowbray a friend and Hollywood would be challenged to make a better story into a movie."
Thomas D. Eggleston, Zone Manager, Collision Center Programs; PPG Industries NA-USA

?Fantastic, Wonderful! What a great inspiration. He had the room captured with his story telling. What an amazing man.?
