Lindsey Pollak

Lindsey Pollak is a writer, editor and speaker specializing in career advice for young professionals. She is the author of a new book for college students and recent grads, Getting from College to Career: 90 Things to Do Before You Join the Real World, published in April 2007 by HarperCollins.

Lindsey writes a daily career blog [www.lindseypollak.com/blog] and has contributed freelance articles to such publications as Marie Claire magazine, PINK magazine, New York Metro newspaper and several career websites. Her advice has appeared in such media outlets as The Washington Post, New York Newsday, The Boston Globe, NYTimes.com, CNN.com, Monster.com, Martha Stewart Living Radio, National Public Radio and ABC News America This Morning.

Lindsey’s professional speaking includes workshops and keynote speeches at universities, associations and corporations around the country. Recent audiences have included Columbia, Duke, Harvard, MIT, Northwestern, USC, the University of Michigan, The New York Times Job Market Career Series, Time Inc. and many others.

Lindsey is a graduate of Yale University and received a master’s degree in women’s studies from Monash University in Melbourne, Australia, where she was a Rotary Ambassadorial Scholar. She lives in New York City.
