Since its founding, IWP has grown into the nation's premier graduate school dedicated to developing leaders with a sound understanding of international realities and the ethical conduct of statecraft. In short, they are building world leaders who are mentally alert, and morally straight. Now more than ever, we need what the IWP is teaching...an uncommon understanding of the intricacies and complexities of the world's political theater. Our security, our well being, our future is squarely in the hands of the leaders we choose to represent us out there. Are they absolute experts? Do they really have the skill sets, knowledge and intestinal fortitude our country is counting on? Or do they just give a good campaign speech and walk into office JV and misguided? The IWP is working to ensure the people who are wanting to be leaders in the political arena do indeed have what it takes to be, not just in charge, but to lead by example.
I am proud to have had the opportunity to say a few words and sing a song for them. Music reaches people differently. I don’t know how it does, but it does. Hold the Line was a good song to sing. It tells the story of three people who had to step up and do something they didn’t want to have to do. But they did it anyway, because it was the right thing to do and someone was counting on them. That’s what it means to lead the way. RLTW!
