
Jim is a technology forecaster, strategist and public speaker specializing in innovation and transformation. He is the "How the Future Works" guy. Jim was one of the early public voices proclaiming the need for a Sputnik-like awakening of the public to the importance of science and technology to society, security, education and the economy.

Jim is a 1995 George Gilder Fellow in High Technology, Entrepreneurship, and Public Policy. He graduated Summa Cum Laude with a Bachelor of Science in Sociology from Bradley University. Jim resides in San Antonio, Texas, with his wife, Lisa Cervantes, and daughter, Ava Brazell.
