Mr. Ball was co-founder and managing partner of Venture America, a seed-stage venture capital firm. Through Venture America Jim Ball helped finance the launch and growth of over twenty businesses including Digene Diagnostics and The Discovery Channel.
Jim Ball was at Arthur Andersen where his last position was partner in charge of Andersen's office in Norther Virginia that targeted hight technology and rapid growth firms.
As an adjunct faculty member at George Mason University, Mr. Ball taught the course he created entitled Developing an Entrepreneurial Mindset. He was cofounder and the first president of the George Mason University Entrepreneurial Institute, Inc., an organization that advances entrepreneurship and business and university relations.
