Bestselling Author Joins The King's College

Eric Metaxas, author, founder of Socrates in the City, and TV host, will bring his extensive experience and unique platform to The King's College in New York City as Senior Fellow and Lecturer at Large.

"Eric is shaping this generation of young Christians. As he continues to write new books and speak into culture, we want to give our students face time with him," said College President Gregory Alan Thornbury.

The appointment adds to Metaxas’ already notable list of accomplishments. His most recent book is 7 Men: And the Secret of Their Greatness. It presents seven exquisitely crafted short portraits of widely known but not well-understood Christian men, each of whom uniquely showcases a commitment to live by certain virtues in the truth of the gospel.

Metaxas is best known for two biographies, Amazing Grace: William Wilberforce and the Heroic Campaign to End Slavery about William Wilberforce and Bonhoeffer: Pastor, Martyr, Prophet, Spy about Dietrich Bonhoeffer. He has also written humor, children's books, and scripts for VeggieTales. He is the founder and host of Socrates in the City: Conversations on the Examined Life, a NYC-based event series, and is co-host of the nationally syndicated weekly Sunday morning program 100 Huntley Street.
